Welcome to my page!

external image Shirley.pngHi, I am attempting to integrate technology into my schools and have the students and staff become more motivated through the use of technology. I am hoping to enrich their lives through the use of videos, music and pictures and make learning fun!

As an afterthought, I would like to utilize technology by communicating to staff members a pre set agenda that staff could put ideas on before meetings so that input is gathered before the meetings and time isn't wasted. Perhaps as I become more proficient at technology I can also make the meetings more motivating!

I would also like to add more technology in the classroom. It would motivate my more challenging kiddos! Donna Oblea

Reflections
Technology is essential in education, in the classroom it is a vital tool to link students to the outside world, to other schools and to teach them how important it is to communicate. With the modern age of technology students can research, communicate and learn in the classroom through the guidance of teachers. Students are shown how people around the world have become networked together. The networking infrastructure holds many possibilties for students, staff and communities! The use of this program would be ideal for also surveying the staff when we are looking at possible agenda items that certain departments or grade levels cannot reach a consensus. This would be an ideal tool to quickly do a fun yet concise survey to use in grade level meetings so that time will not be wasted and staff will feel that they are being "listened to," for their ideas and suggestions.

We share a common vision of what all students should know, understand and strive to inspire students to high excellence of academic achievement regardless of ethnic diversity, socio background, gender and culture and the opportunity to learn in a clean and safe educational environment. Staff, community, parents and students should be motivated to uphold students learning to become proficient readers, to write, to communicate and become technologically enriched so that students will become productive citizens in the global scale. We share a common vision of offering learning opportunities that are standards based and of high academic rigor for all students in a safe and healthy learning environment “To Excel in Education is to Keep Reaching for the Stars.”
